The Last Canadian Penny

Today marks a historical moment in Canadian history as the Royal Canadian Mint made the very last penny ever. It's interesting to know that it cost 1.6 cents to make a penny today. Which makes perfect sense why we should no longer be making a coin that costs more than it is worth.

Just because the penny will no longer be made it doesn't mean they still cannot be used for purchases.
